The use of illicit drugs and the misuse of alcohol/Cannabis, medications and other substances can and does cause serious and detrimental effects to health, safety and work performance. The nature of our business demands that we do everything possible to ensure the safety of our employees, as well as the general public.
To achieve this goal, this Alcohol & Drug Policy and program has been developed using the COAA Canadian Drug & Alcohol Guidelines to aid both DeFord Contracting Inc. employees and all hired contractors in ensuring a drug- and alcohol-free/cannabis-free jobsite. The success of this program is dependent on each one of us accepting our responsibility to comply with and promote this program.
