Alcohol/Cannabis/Edibles

• The use, possession or sale of alcohol/cannabis on DeFord Contracting Inc. property or job sites is prohibited.
• The possession of containers of alcohol/cannabis in DeFord Contracting Inc. in owned or leased vehicles or subcontractor’s vehicles on DeFord Contracting Inc. property or job sites is prohibited.
• No employee shall report for duty or be allowed by their supervisor to report for duty if unfit to do so as a result of the after-effects of consuming alcohol/cannabis.
• Management may authorize the presence of alcohol at certain designated or approved social or business functions.
• Management will then take precautions to control these events, where possible (e.g. providing taxi fares)

Illicit Drugs

• The use, possession or sale of illicit drugs on DeFord Contracting Inc. property or job sites is prohibited.
• The possession of illicit drugs in DeFord Contracting Inc. owned or leased vehicles or subcontractor’s vehicles on
• DeFord Contracting Inc. property or job sites is prohibited.
• The employee will report to their supervisor the use of any medication which could affect their work performance or create a safety hazard.
