Safety roles and responsibilities shall be clearly communicated to everyone in the organization. Continued reference to roles and responsibilities will ensure not only that they are understood but will demonstrate ongoing commitment to the Policy.

Ways in which responsibilities should be communicated include:

  • Orientation training;
  • Company OH&S Policy and Health and Safety procedures;
  • References in job descriptions;
  • Safety Awareness Board notices and reminders;
  • Access to current and applicable safety legislation when required like: WCB, TDG, WHMIS, OH&S;
  • Safety talks and meetings.

In addition to training on the requirements outlined in this procedure, management training shall also include the topics of Due Diligence.
