DeFord Contracting Inc. is committed to providing a healthy and safe work place for its workers and preventing occupational illness, injuries, ensuring the psychological & social well-being of all workers and the protection of the environment which also includes our company reputation.

In fulfilling this commitment to protect both people and property, management will provide and maintain a safe and healthful work environment in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirements. We will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards, which may result in property damage, accidents or personal injury/illness.

All employees, workers, visitors including hired sub-contractors will all be equally responsible for minimizing all incidents within our facilities and on our work sites. Safe work practices and procedures will be defined clearly in the Safety Manual for all to follow.

Accidental loss can be controlled through good management, good incident reporting in combination with active worker involvement. Safety is the direct responsibility of all managers, supervisors, employees and all hired sub-contractors.

All management functions will comply with company safety requirements as they relate to planning, operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment. All employees will perform their jobs properly in accordance with established procedures and safe work practices.
